SHOWS: bear in heaven, doldrums, and blouse at music hall of williamsburg brooklyn, ny

this past wednesday myself and another writer were invited to check out the bear in heaven showcase at the music hall in willamsburg. doldrums KILLED it as the starter. they were put on my radar last november. so it was awesome to actually see them live. it was blouse’s final date of their 5 week tour. i really enjoy their music…i just wish the vocalist would SHOUT or SCREAM a bit. the whisper girl vocal thing is getting tired. bear in heaven was completely captivating. their light show alone was transforming. below are a few snaps from the show and some listening stations for each band.

as a last-minute response to how much the acts of the new york and NYPD titus andronicus’ front man patrick stickles has organized and OWS benefit show tonight at brooklyn’s shea stadium featuring titus andronicus, ted leo and the pharmacists and the so so glos. this benefit is meant to help the national lawyers guild who has been working hard fighting for the protesters’ rights. for a statement directing from stickles and ticket purchase head over HERE.
